Guilherme is a Portuguese Brazilian director and screenwriter based in Lisbon, working across film, series, and commercials.
VÓRTICE, his directorial debut, won Best Portuguese Short Film at MotelX and was screened at festivals qualifying for the Oscars, BAFTA, and the European Film Awards. He is also the creator and co-director of TV Series FINISTERRA, which won a screenwriting competition promoted by Netflix and now airs on RTP as a co-production between Portugal, Luxembourg, and Germany.
He has directed campaigns for Leroy Merlin, Lidl, Super Bock, and Santander, and his screenwriting credits include Marco Martins' last two features, Great Yarmouth and A Colónia.
He holds a degree in Film from the University of Westminster and a Master's in Film Philosophy from King's College London, and began his career as an assistant director for directors such as Fernando Meirelles (City of God) and Cacá Diegues (Bye Bye Brasil).
Guilherme is currently developing a new short film, a TV series, and his debut feature.
